The Polar Refresh Bearblog has softly launched!
As the title says, I have decided to soft-launch my Bearblog for my art! I likely will not be announcing this launch directly on my social medias but I may update about it on my Neocities RSS feed.
Now you're probably wondering "Why did you make this blog? You already have a blog on Neocities!"
You are absolutely right! The reason why I created this blog is because it's due to the fact that my Neocities is still a very personal website that focuses more on my multiple hobbies. I want this to be more of a focus on my art. I will still be updating my art and personal blog posts on Neocities but I will be updating my art logs here separately from now on if that makes sense haha
Another advantage is that Bearblog is a lot more user/mobile-friendly and lightweight. So it makes it a bit more accessible for others who can't view my personal website. This place is very straightforward and easy to use while also having a built-in RSS / Atom feed that I won't need to manually update myself. This makes running both of my blogs an absolute breeze!
I have to be honest though, every time I find websites like Bearblog, I get very excited to start trying to make an account after seeing what kind of options and customization they give to enhance the user experience! It was very fun looking over at the Markdown syntaxes and mixing in the HTML / CSS.
After reading The Bear Manifesto, I also found this place to be also be reliable and trustworthy. The fact I don't have to worry about silly ads being placed on my blog like other blog sites, is a huge yes for me! It is also said to be built to last which I am also very grateful for. I may consider giving this blogging host a sub when I feel like I'm ready. Very interesting they also have a lifetime sub model as well!
Anyways, back to the thing about the purpose of this blog. I have some other art goals that I would like to use this blog for. I won't say it since I'm likely gonna do the opposite if I announce anything haha
